WHAT we support
Today, the Foundation remains guided by the enduring philosophy and values established by the late Mr. Siu Un over 100 years ago, placing a continued emphasis on impact-driven philanthropy that seeks to transform the lives of individuals and communities across sectors that have historically shaped - and been shaped by - the successive generations of the family.
We are committed to the advancement of education, scholarship and access within the fields of Architecture and the Built Environment.
As the Foundation continues to advance its objectives, its areas of focus include:
(A) Advancing education in Architecture and the Built Environment through (i) endowment of prizes and scholarships for outstanding students at leading institutions; and (ii) advancing the delivery of education (supporting visiting academics, lecture series, equipment).
(B) Partnering with professional bodies and cultural institutions in the fields of Architecture and the Built Environment on programmes that enhance public engagement, and cultural and identity preservation (lecture series, exhibitions, digital archives, library collections).
(C) Supporting institutions that have contributed to the development of family members, with the objective of enhancing transformative access for the broader community (endowing bursaries and scholarships).
We do not support initiatives that are commercial in nature or politically related.
“Through these focussed efforts, the Foundation endeavours to honour the family’s heritage in Architecture and the Built Environment, while fostering a legacy of service and contribution to our broader community.”
Ms. Peggy Siu
