Founding CHAIR

Peggy Siu represents the third generation of her family’s built legacy, alongside her eldest brother Mr. C.T. Siu, a Hong Kong Authorised Architect who was most active in the post-war era.

Ms. Siu is the granddaughter of 19th-century Russell & Co. compradore, property developer and philanthropist Mr. Siu Un. Her father, Mr. Siu Kin (Peter), a devout Christian, was principal contractor to leading architects such as Leigh & Orange, G.W. Grey and Wong, Ng & Ouyang across a wide commercial and civic construction portfolio in Hong Kong’s post-war urban transformation, notably delivering numerous faith-based schools and churches.

In her role as Chair, Ms. Siu leads the Foundation's Advisory Board, guiding governance, providing oversight and strategic direction.

She began her professional journey at the Mass Transit Railway Corporation (MTRC) in the 1970s where she contributed to the early development of the initial lines of the city’s metro system. She subsequently built a successful career in Sydney and Hong Kong, where she worked in university capital works and commercial real estate, including roles held with the University of Technology Sydney and Centaline Group.

Now retired, Ms. Siu dedicates her time to the family’s enduring interests: the preservation of East Asian architectural and cultural heritage and supporting initiatives that safeguard urban legacies for future generations.
